I remember the terror that gripped me every time my seminary professor asked me to find and read a passage from one of the Minor Prophets in the Old Testament. I was afraid to show my ignorance of the Bible in front of the class, so I’d flip through the pages as fast as possible with the hopes that I’d find the book in my skimming before it became apparent that I didn’t know where the book was.

Its human nature to try and portray ourselves as strong and learned rather than weak and ignorant, but the Apostle Paul wrote, “The weaker I get, the stronger I become.” Beginning November 13th, we’ll talk about what Paul meant by his statement and how that can free us from the terror associated with portraying your self as strong. I hope to see you, this four week series can change your life!

God bless,
Pastor John
